Carbon Monoxide Detectors

A carbon monoxide detector is a device that will alarm when it detects the presence of carbon monoxide gas. Carbon Monoxide (CO) is produced from incomplete combustion of fossil fuels. There are several sources of CO that could cause a problem in your home such as water heaters, space heaters, open flames, running a car inside a garage and blocked chimneys. To provide extra protection, a CO detector should be placed on each level of your home, including the basement. A CO detector should also be installed within 10ft of the bedrooms.
